About Algorithmic Justice League
Joy Buolamwini created the Algorithmic Justice League to fight bias in algorithms, to make tech and AI more ethical and inclusive.
AI is not just about numbers and data: it reflects the view of whoever created the system. That’s why we need diverse teams to create inclusive technology and make sure we intentionally create inclusive code.
“InCoding” is a process that explicitly checks the impacts of bias during the design, development and deployment of coding systems. When we design a technology, we inevitably reveal our own values in it: let’s make it inclusive.
